The majority of the time, we microwave meals in plastic containers and wrappers. Toxic chemicols can be ingested into the body, according to health professionals. Under heat, these compounds degrade and leak into the food. Some plastics aren't microwave-safe because they contain polymers (toxic compounds) that can readily melt and contaminate food when heated. Phthalates, Bisphenol, Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, and other hazardous compounds are among them.
Microwaving food in plastic containers or plates has the following consequences:
(1) CANCER:
Microwaves are used to heat or warm food in plastic containers using electromagnetic radiation. When these plastic food containers are heated, harmful chemicals such as Phthalates and Bisphenol are released into the food. These substances are actively carcinogenic (cause cancer), and consuming contaminated food increases your risk of developing cancer of the prostrate and the breast.
(2) HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE:
Microwave-ready foods are high in sodium and preservatives.Excessive intake and accumulation of sodium-food into the body accelerate blood pressure problems and can trigger cardiovascular diseases.Consuming excess salt can inhibit the filtration/the purification/re-absorption functions of
kidney, the excessive salt builds up in the body
system and tends to increase blood pressure.
(3) WATER RETENTION:
Microwaving processed or junk food increases
sodium content in the food. Excessive
consumption of sodium causes excess fluid/
water retention in the body.
Water retention also known as EDEMA is a type
of swelling that occurs due to abnormal fluid/
water retention in the body. The hands, arms,
face, abdomen and lungs are commonly affected
with Edema. When we consume excess salt, the
body retains extra sodium which triggers
increase in the amount of fluid/water in the
body outside the cells.
(4) EXCESS BELLY FAT: ABDOMINAL OBESITY
This is referred to as "beer belly" or "pot belly."
It's a type of obesity or overweight in which the stomach bulges out a lot.
Excess belly fat is caused by excessive consumption of microwaved junk food, which includes sweetened beverages, sugar, baked goods (bread, cake, biscuits, snacks, etc. ), fried foods, pastries, and pizza.
